Over the past several years, we have experienced difficulty in getting water from our source to our irrigation retention pond. While our water source is plentiful, we have to pump it up a 75' elevation for over ½ mile to our retention pond. During the original build in, transfer pumps were installed, although they proved to be inadequate in terms of keeping our pond full.
Over the past 10 years, we supplemented the original pump with boosters, and later with additional source pumps. Even with all this hardware, we had a hard time keeping enough water in the pond during periods of heavy watering. The supply pump system ran 24/7 for most of the irrigating season.
Auto Control was aware of our situation, and spent time to develop a solution for us. By removing the existing inefficient pumps and replacing them with high efficiency pumps, we were able to reduce our total horsepower being used by over 1/3. The new pumps work so well that we only need to run them 4 days out of 7.
This season demanded a great amount of irrigating. The new pumps and controls not only provided me with more than enough water, but they also substantially lowered my power consumption.

When called upon, Auto Control (Terry Kerkstra) dropped what he was doing and heading North immediately. Terry was able to assemble a small crew to help replace the ballast tanks, rewire the pump house and hook up our 3 phase electric in a matter of a few days. I was very impressed as to commitment and endless hours Terry and his crew put into this project knowing the circumstances were serious. Terry Kerkstra did not exploit the situation; he did exactly what he said he was going to do and more.
Terry, in my opinion sets the standard for all business owners and companies alike as to how to treat customers. Good will, Communication, Experience, Character are what makes me choose guys like Terry with Auto Control.
